Job Summary
Key Accountabilities
· Manage procurement of raw materials, engine components, and specialized hardware from suppliers.
· Develop and maintain supplier relationships. Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, and cost.
· Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and assembly teams to forecast material needs and avoid shortages or delays.
· Coordinate with finance on budgeting, purchase order approvals, and cost tracking.
· Oversee inventory control processes, including stock levels, reorder points, and inventory accuracy.
· Plan and manage inbound and outbound logistics, including international shipping and customs documentation.
· Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies for critical parts and long-lead items.
· Support make/buy decisions and vendor qualification in coordination with technical teams.
· Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, lead time reduction, and supplier quality.
Qualifications & Experience
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering, or a related field.
· 2+ years of experience in supply chain or procurement roles, preferably in aerospace, power systems, or precision engineering.
· Knowledge of sourcing complex assemblies, machined parts, and high-temperature materials.
· Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
· Experience with vendor onboarding, contract negotiation, and quality issue resolution.
· Experience working in a small or startup-style engineering company where roles are hands-on and cross-functional.
· Familiarity with gas turbine engine components is preferred.
· Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma exposure.
