Job Summary
Key Accountabilities
· Supervise assembly technicians and fitters during engine and rig builds.
· Allocate daily tasks and ensure assemblies meet technical, quality, and schedule requirements.
· Review and interpret assembly drawings, procedures, and engineering instructions.
· Guide and support the mechanical design team in the development of jigs, fixtures, and tooling to optimize assembly workflows and ensure safe, repeatable builds.
· Coordinate with engineering, quality, and test teams to resolve build issues.
· Ensure all assemblies are built to standard, with full documentation and traceability.
· Monitor and enforce safety procedures and EHS standards in the assembly area.
· Track part inventory, tool availability, and maintenance schedules.
· Support continuous improvement and contribute to root-cause investigations.
Qualifications & Experience
· Hold a Diploma or Engineering degree in Mechanical or a closely related field.
· 5+ years of experience in mechanical assembly, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
· Understanding of gas turbines or turbomachinery or rotating machines and their component functionalities.
· Experience in managing team in a technical or manufacturing environment.
· Proficiency in interpreting technical documents and assembly procedures.
· Experience with ERP/work order systems and digital work instructions.
· Prior work in aerospace, defense, or energy sector assembly operations.
· Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma training is a plus.
