Job Summary
Key Accountabilities
· Perform mechanical assembly of gas turbine engines and sub-systems (compressors, turbines, combustors, etc.).
· Assemble component test rigs including rotating equipment, fixtures, and pressure systems.
· Follow engineering drawings, work instructions, and build specifications precisely.
· Fit and install instrumentation under guidance (e.g., thermocouples, pressure sensors).
· Use hand tools, torque wrenches, alignment tools, and precision measuring instruments.
· Maintain clean and organized work areas and adhere to quality and safety procedures.
· Report assembly issues, non-conformances, or missing parts to the supervisor.
· Complete build documentation, torque logs, and checklists. Procure & inspect manufactured components and ensure adherence to design specifications.
Qualifications & Experience
· Diploma/ ITI in Mechanical or a closely related field.
· 1+ years of experience in mechanical fitting or engine assembly.
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
· Proficiency with hand and power tools, and measurement instruments.
· Awareness of safety protocols in mechanical or high-temperature environments.
· Experience in turbine, aircraft engine, or rotating equipment assembly.
· Basic understanding of engine component functions (e.g., bearings, seals, shafts).
· Familiarity with basic instrumentation and test setups.
