About Nabhdrishti Aerospace
Nabhdrishti Aerospace is a deep-tech aerospace company developing indigenous micro gas turbine engines and propulsion systems for aviation and defence applications. We are building complex, high-performance products from the ground up, with a mission to create globally competitive aerospace propulsion technology from India.
As we move from product development and testing toward commercialization, industrialization, and scaling our product line, we are looking for a high-ownership individual to work closely with the Founders & CXOs across some of the company’s most important priorities.
About the Role
The Chief of Staff role sits at the intersection of strategy, technology and product development, business development, execution, key stakeholder management, fundraising, partnerships, and organizational priorities.
You will work directly with the Founders & CXOs on high-impact initiatives that often cut across engineering, business, and organizational functions. This is not primarily a coordination or administrative role. We are looking for someone who can understand an ambiguous problem, structure it, gather the required information, engage the right stakeholders, and drive it toward closure.
The role offers significant exposure to building and scaling a deep-tech aerospace company and will particularly suit someone who has worked in a technology/product development environment involving complex engineering programs and wants to take on a broader business and leadership role.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Strategy & Initiatives
Partner with the Founders & CXOs in defining and executing key strategic priorities.
Conduct market, industry, competitor, and technology research to support decision-making.
Translate broad strategic objectives into structured plans, milestones, owners, and measurable outcomes, and drive execution through periodic reviews.
Prepare decision notes, presentations, business cases, and management reviews.
2. Business Development & Partnerships
Support engagement with customers, strategic partners, OEMs, government organizations, and other ecosystem stakeholders.
Identify and evaluate new market and partnership opportunities in India and internationally.
Support proposals, customer presentations, commercial discussions, and follow-ups.
Work with technical and commercial teams to translate customer requirements into product and technology roadmaps.
Represent the company in selected external engagements on behalf of the Founders & CXOs.
3. Fundraising & Investor Relations
Support fundraising activities, investor outreach, due diligence, and transaction-related coordination.
Prepare and maintain investor presentations, financial/business information, data-room inputs, and investor updates.
Coordinate with investors, legal advisors, finance teams, and other stakeholders during fundraising processes.
Track commitments, documentation, and key closure milestones.
4. Technology Programs & Execution Support
Work closely with engineering leadership to ensure technology and product development programs progress against agreed technical, schedule, cost, and quality objectives.
Participate in key technology, design, and program reviews and help translate technical decisions into clear actions, priorities, and execution plans.
Identify technical/program bottlenecks and risks early and work with relevant teams to drive resolution.
Support periodic business and program reviews with the Founders & CXOs.
Implement company-wide KPIs, performance dashboards, and operational review mechanisms.
5. Organizational Effectiveness
Help the Founders prioritize initiatives and maintain visibility on critical company objectives.
Prepare briefing material for important customer, investor, government, technology, and partner meetings.
Capture key decisions and ensure systematic follow-through.
Improve processes and management systems as the organization scales.
Support required certifications, licenses, and regulatory approvals for engine design, assembly, testing, sales, and exports.
Strengthen enterprise-wide risk management and program management capabilities.
Qualifications
Engineering degree (Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical, or a related discipline)
Minimum 10 years of professional experience, with meaningful exposure to technology/product development, engineering programs, strategy, business operations, or cross-functional leadership, preferably in gas turbines, aerospace, space, or a similar deep-tech domain.
Ability to understand complex technologies and effectively bridge technology, product, customer, and business priorities. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and drive them toward resolution.
Strong project and program management skills, with experience working across multiple functions and senior stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create high-quality presentations, analyses, business cases, and executive-level documents.
High level of ownership and ability to take an initiative from problem definition through execution and closure.
Ability to operate effectively in an environment where priorities evolve quickly and multiple strategic initiatives run in parallel.
Strong attention to detail without losing sight of the larger business and strategic objectives.
