Job Summary
Key Accountabilities
· Responsible for creating component design definition (2D/3D CAD drawings/models).
· Prepare drawings for manufacturing.
· Mentor a team of CAD designers to deliver component, sub-assembly and engine drawings.
· Work with cross-functional teams and manufacturing specialists on tolerance definition, interface management and assembly procedure for seamless integration of components, sub-systems and systems.
· Provide modelling support to component owners throughout the part design and analysis cycle.
Qualifications & Experience
· Hold a Diploma or Engineering degree in Mechanical or a closely related field, with a strong foundation in engineering drawing, CAD and machine design.
· 2-10 years industrial experience in CAD modelling of Gas Turbine or similar turbomachinery products.
· Proficiency in 2D/3D modelling software such as AutoCAD, Unigraphics NX or similar.
· Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and manufacturing processes.
· Experience in leading/mentoring a small team is a plus.
· Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-functional team.
· Be adept at handling ambiguity and making data-driven recommendations.
· Exhibit the capacity to communicate complex technical ideas and information concisely and logically across a wide range of topics.
· Think outside the box and come up with creative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
